Maldives, addresses the opening plenary session of the UN Summit

Mohamed Nasheed, President of the Republic of Maldives, addresses the opening plenary session of the UN Summit on Climate Change. Convened by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the Summit aims at mobilizing the highest level political will needed to reach a fair, effective, and scientifically ambitious global climate deal at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen this December.
